CORE STRENGTH EXERCISES
Knowing why is core strength important; here are some exercises to help you build a strong core.
The good thing about these kinds of exercises is that most do not require equipment to complete. It is just you, your core, some space and will power.
To do this exercise, lie flat face-up.
– Ensure there is no tension on your back. You should neither keep it pressed on the floor nor slightly lifted.
-Bend your knees; your hands should remain on your side with your palm facing down.
-Raise your hips until and align them with your shoulders and knees and stay in that position for as long as you can. Repeat.
Sit down and stretch your arms in front of you, palms up. Keep your feet together and raise your legs until your body forms a V. Hold this position as long as you can.
Some people also like to call this leg-ups
-Lie faceup, tuck your hands behind your head. You can alternatively hold on to something stationary.
-Keep your feet together and raise them to a 60-degree angle relative to the floor. Hold this position for a few seconds, lower the legs but don’t let them touch the ground. Raise the legs back up.
-If your back hurts, keep your hands on the side for more support.
It is obvious that the whole human form is very dependent on core strength for proper function. The very act of waking up, getting into bed and all the things you do in between depends on the core.
