As I mentioned earlier, most of the weight you will lose in the 7 days will be water weight. You will regain some of the lost weight once you start drinking more water.

Day 1: 6 liters (1.5 gallons) of water

Day 2: 3 liters (0.8 gallons) of water

Day 3: 3 liters (o.8 gallons) of water

Day 4: 2 liters (0.5 gallons) of water

Day 5: 1.5 liters (0.4 gallons) of water

Day 6: 0.8 liters (0.2 gallons) of water

Day 7: No water until you step on the scale

3. Don’t add salt to your food

Writing that made me cringe, knowing how important salt is. The truth is, the body holds on to water when we eat salt (sodium). Therefore, you need to avoid salt to flush water out of the body.

We are not just talking table salt here. Avoid all foods that contain sodium, especially canned foods.

It’s important to add salt back to your diet after the event. Low salt intake has negative side effects.

4. Sweat it out

Have you ever thought of sitting in a sauna in order to melt belly fat? That is a terrible idea! However, sitting in a sauna in days 5 and 6 can help reduce water weight.

We lose water weight when we sweat. Since you won’t be exercising, take advantage saunas, hot baths, and even drink hot water to sweat more.

5. Eat plenty of protein

Chances are you know protein is essential for fat loss and muscle growth. Well, protein can also help you lose 10 pounds in a week without exercise.

High protein foods such as lean meat, eggs, legumes, and chicken will keep you full. Most of your meals should be a combination of healthy protein, leafy vegetables, and healthy fats such as avocado.
