 2.) Hemp protein contains unsaturated fats devoid of cholesterol, an essential facet of heart health. In contrast, the whey protein is filled with saturated fats and cholesterol. 

 Whey protein is considered an unsustainable protein source by many due to the fact it’s animal-based.

 Hemp protein, conversely, is considered sustainable due to its plant-based nature. This is because plant farming is much more environmentally friendly and renewable.

 3.) To separate the whey protein from lactose, additives such as hexane are added. Hemp is obtained after the grounding of the hemp seed. No additives are used.


When all is said and done, you can’t objectively declare a winner between the two. Each protein has its benefits and flaws.

For instance, whey lacks fiber. It, however, compensates by having a faster absorption rate and serves more protein.

Alternatively, hemp is easily digested, while whey may trouble you if your body cannot digest milk.
